Classroom Management Statement
Learning environments are constructed by the educator, but are ultimately shaped by the students. I believe the learning environments we create as educators must reflect the same values we hope to see in society. The values I strive to promote in my classroom are respect and integrity.
I believe that learning environments are only as successful as the members let them be. If the learning community lacks the ability to respect themselves, each other, and the educator then the learning process will become hindered. It is the educators responsibility to both earn the respect of their students and to promote an environment where every individual will feel respected.
Once respect has been created, the educator must infuse integrity into their learning environment. Integrity is a combination of honesty and moral principles. If members in the learning community hold themselves accountable for their education then all work will be a direct reflection of a their own skill.
